Welcome to TheCouncil.com, the official Web site of "The Council". We've met every Friday night around 8:30 PM since 1997 at a restaurant or bar in Cincinnati, Ohio to visit with old and new friends, help each other try to find resolutions to life's many problems but basically we do our best to eat, drink and be merry. Why are we called The Council? Well, it just sounds better telling your boss, "I can't work late tonight because I have a Council Meeting to attend" instead of "I'm goin' drinkin' with my buddies". The "Founding Fathers" of The Council were Jeffie, Capt'n Dickie, Uncle Gary, Chuckie and Buck. Back then, the gathering was simply known as, "The Boy's Night Out". Everyone has their own special quality and helps to provide advise on many topics including cars, computers, investments, music and last but not least, women. No one could come up with any answers about women so wives and girlfriends were invited and the popularity of the friends getting together quickly grew. Steve, Matt with Peggy and Rob (who are old friends from high school) have now become regulars. We even have our very own dancing Playboy, John the CEO! Ronnie, who attends with his wife Denise, has invited many of his friends from work that included Derrick, Greg with Dawna, Robert with his wife Jane and Bone to name a few as well as his brother Beaver along with his wife TracIE who brought his old neighbor John. Buck's brother David and his son Zack as well as Other special guests started stopping by and we never know from month to month which new friends might show up.
